Victim and Witness Support Unit donate hampers to families affected by crime
Twenty families will be given hampers donated by Gulf Shipping Limited to the Victim and Witness Support Unit of the TTPS. The following is a press release from the TTPS:
Twenty families are expected to be given some much-needed relief this week, as the Victim and Witness Support Unit (VWSU) distributes hampers to families who are negatively affected by crime and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The initiative is being made possible through the kind donation of 20 food hampers by Gulf Shipping Limited. VWSU’s Manager, Mrs. Aisha Price-Corbie and Unit Officers, Ms. Leanna Peters and Ms. Jamiyla Sargeant, of the Port-of-Spain and Western Divisions, respectively, were on hand to receive the hampers.
The VWSU gives special thanks to Ms. Sonja Voisin, Ms. Tessa De Souza and Ms. Kinda Baksh, of Gulf Shipping Limited, for making this initiative possible as the VWSU continues its mandate in providing holistic support.
